GED - New Life Program

In order to allow more people the opportunity to become New Life Program students, Victory Trade School has developed a new residential program called GED-NEW LIFE PROGRAM.

  • Candidates for this program must declare their intent to enter the New Life Program upon entry and be willing to attend GED classes each weekday
  • Participants in this program must complete at least 12 hours in an internship, attend a prayer breakfast and Christian-based classes each weekday, and follow all rules. Students are not permitted to work outside the program; room/board and a small stipend is provided.
  • The length of this program is 4 - 6 months for most students. Tutors are available to assist participants in receiving the diploma in a timely manner.
  • Upon completion, participants will enter the yearlong school of the New Life Program.

GED Classes

The GED-New Life Program offers classes to obtain a GED. GED students will also attend life skill classes, Bible based classes, and student meetings. Classes are offered Monday thru Friday and the hours vary between 8am-5pm. Each class is offered in a classroom setting with qualified teachers and curriculum.

Student Requirements

To be accepted into the GED-New Life Program, you must:

  • Remain clean and sober throughout the program.
  • Submit to the authority that has been placed over you.
  • Complete GED-New Life Program curriculum.
  • Be willing to give up your old life to seek a new life.
  • Declare intent to enter the New Life Program, after obtaining GED.

Admission Procedures

GED - New Life Program has been structured to give opportunities to as many students as possible. The application process identifies individuals with the desire, motivation and the ability to meet the challenge of completing the program. There is a required pre-screening process before entry is granted into the program. Classes are on a continuous rotation and students may enter at any time.

Children and Visitors

Children are encouraged and welcome to come live with or visit their mothers while they are in the New Life Program. Because of room setup, only male children up to 10 years old and female children up to 16 years old are permitted to stay the night.

We offer in-house childcare services that teach women how to manage family and job responsibilities.

Below is an article from the Community Free Press published about the Victory House childcare.
