Victory Trade School Faculty and Staff

The faculty, staff and administration of Victory Trade School are dedicated to helping the students achieve their goals, and support them in their interpersonal growth in a Christian environment. After completion, we work diligently to help our graduates secure appropriate jobs and assist them in finding affordable housing. We maintain contact with the students as necessary and continue to offer them the tools needed to live stable and productive lives.

Victoria Queen
President

As president of Victory Trade School (VTS) Victoria was challenged to plan, develop, organize, and open Victory Trade School and its social enterprise learning laboratories; the Cook’s Kettle, a neighborhood restaurant, The Branch Bistro & Catering, and The Vine, a greenhouse to help with sustainability of the restaurants. As a vertical extension of the school, the PREP program was created to prepare students for the next step into the Culinary Program, or for the future with life skills and a solid biblical foundation. The New Life Program mirrors the PREP program as women learn life skills and child development while immersed in biblical studies. As VTS gained accreditation through NCA-CASI, certification through the Missouri Department of Higher Education, and a Participation Agreement with Title IV to accept Pell grants it became necessary to offer a GED program to help men and women be eligible to enter VTS or the diploma equivalent to be able to get a job.

Victoria is a certified instructor for the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. She also serves as an online instructor for City Vision College and has worked as an adjunct professor of business for Ozarks Technical Community College and the Federal Medical Center for Prisoners.

With Marriott Education Services, Victoria worked at Florida State University and then Missouri State University as Director of Catering. She developed a system of "area treatments", traveled as a catering specialist, and served on corporate sales teams for Marriott. Victoria has owned/operated two different restaurants and managed a country club. For ten years she was the Director of Hospitality for a private liberal arts college.

Victoria is currently completing her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration through Saint Louis University, after comprehensive exams in the fall of 2011; she will be ABD (all but dissertation). Her educational background includes a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelors of Science (BS) in Business Management, with a minor in Psychology. She has continued her studies through Acton University’s Free and Virtuous Society and Harvard Business School Social Enterprise training. Other educational training includes Stephen Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, Jim Collin’s Good to Great Level 5 Leadership, Ruby Payne’s Understanding Poverty, Entrepreneurship, Auxiliary Law Enforcement, Serv-Safe, ProMgmt, ManageFirst, HACCP and a Private Pilot Certification.

Victoria is involved in the community as the Chairman of the Executive Board for the Community Alternative Sentencing Program (CASP) and through membership in the Chamber of Commerce, North Springfield Betterment Association, American Culinary Federation, and Commercial Club. She serves nationally as the Sr. Consultant for the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions.
