Named for Everett and Esther Cook, founders of Springfield Victory Mission, the Cook's Kettle Restaurant provides the culinary laboratory setting for VTS. This restaurant, newly remodeled with a French Bistro look, has two classically trained chefs instructing the students. There are numerous positions in the Kettle the students move through on a rotational basis, these are Front of House, and Back of House positions including Server, Cashier, Cook, Dish Washer, Manager in Training for both ends of the House, etc…
The customers of Cook's Kettle Restaurant return because of high quality food, low prices, and the cleanliness of the facility. This economical place to eat is a model of how a restaurant can serve great food and practice proper hygiene and sanitation. This student-operated laboratory – restaurant provides variety in the menu and all customers are served with professionalism.
